City Government Meetings Schedule and Current Agendas:

The City of Grover Beach encourages all residents and interested parties to participate in City government meetings. Your participation and presence are essential to good government!

Please note: Agendas are in PDF format. You will need Acrobat Reader to read them. If you do not have this program downloaded on your computer, you may download it free of charge from Adobe's website at Acrobat Reader.

  • City Council/Improvement Agency meets at 6:30 pm on the first and third Mondays of each month. If either of those Mondays is a holiday, the meeting is usually held on the following evening. [Agenda-Council]

To view a specific staff report on the current agenda:
    - Just "click" on the staff report title. Please note, staff reports may be large files that take some time to download.
    - Contact the City Clerk's Office at (805) 473-4567 if you have any problem accessing a file.
    - A public counter copy of the complete agenda packet is available during regular business hours in the City Management Office at City Hall.

Government Cable Access Channel 20: City Council meetings are broadcast live on cable television. Rebroadcasts are as follows:

  • Every day the week of a City Council meeting at:

  • The week after a regular meeting:
    Thursdays and Sundays only - 9:00 a.m., 6:00 p.m., and 1:00 a.m.
  • The South County library also has check-out copies of previous meetings in either VHS or DVD format.

  • Planning Commission meets each second Tuesday at 6:30 pm in the City Hall Chambers. [Agenda-Planning Commission].

  • Parks, Recreation & Beautification Commission meets each fourth Thursday at 6:30 pm in the City Hall Chambers. [Agenda-Parks, Recreation & Beautification]

  • Traffic Committee meetings are scheduled only as needed at 9:30 a.m. on the second Thursday of the month in the Conference Room at City Hall. For more information, contact the Administrative Secretary in the Police Department at (805) 473-4507. [Agenda-Traffic Committee].

  • Citizen Oversight Committee on Half-Percent Sales Tax meetings are scheduled as needed (but not less than once annually) and held in the City Hall Council Chambers.

Official copies of agendas are posted in the bulletin boards at both entrances to City Hall, 154 South 8th Street, Grover Beach, CA. As a service to Internet users, the agendas are also posted on this web site. Every effort is made to upload the information in a timely fashion. However, the official, time-sensitive posting of agendas continues to be the posting that takes place at City Hall.
