Grover Beach Celebrates Golden Anniversary

To celebrate this milestone, City staff developed a brochure for individuals to enjoy a self-guided tour of buildings and businesses of significance to our City's history. This self-guided tour directs participants to visit each location where a poster will be on display containing photographs of the original business, along with details from that era. Participants may have their brochure stamped at each location along the self-guided tour. Once stamps have been received from every location, the completed brochure may be presented at City Hall to receive a special 50th Anniversary commemorative pin.

The celebration will continue during the City’s 2009 South County Holiday Parade with the theme: “A Look Back ~ 1950s Revisited” on Saturday, December 5, 2009. Special judging of 1950s era vehicles will be highlighted.
