The City of Grover Beach has prepared guidelines to assist in determining whether an event requires a Special Event Permit (i.e., for private parties planning a gathering or activity to be attended by 100 or more people requiring public resources beyond the normal pattern of traffic and travel or general calls for service). 17th Annual Basketball Clinic
Date: Sunday, October 9, 2016
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Location: Mentone Basketball Court, 14th Street and Mentone Avenue
Featuring the Cal Poly Mustangs Women's Basketball Team! This popular event, will
offer boys in grades 7 and below, and girls in grades 8 and below, pointers and
drills to improve their game skills. This event is limited to 100 participants!
All sports equipment is provided. Participants should wear comfortable clothing,
proper shoes, and bring a water bottle.
Note: NCAA rules specify high school students are not permitted to participate.

Carved Pumpkin Contest & Halloween Activities

Fun for the whole family! Bring your already decorated or carved funny, scary, spooky,
or goofy pumpkin and enter it in the contest to win great prizes!

Carnival games presented by the Arroyo Grande High School LINK Crew, free hot dogs
provided by Terry Merlo Insurance & Financial Services and prepared by the Grover Beach

50th Annual Holiday Parade
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Location: Parade begins at 16th Street, travels west down West Grand Avenue to 9th Street, and finishes
at the Ramona Garden Park Center, 993 Ramona Avenue.
This Year's Theme: "Groovy Grover Holiday" (Flashback to the 60's - When the Parade Began!)

This is the only daytime parade in South San Luis Obispo County! Bring the entire family and enjoy a good, old-fashioned community parade! Show off the holiday spirit of your business, club, or organization and be in the parade! (It's a great way to advertise!) Parade entry fee is a new, unwrapped gift for a child ages 0 to 17; larger group entries are encouraged to donate more then one! Note: Awards ceremony to follow at Santa's Workshop!
