Water Conservation Programs
Area Water Shortages
Take advantage of the programs listed below to save money on your water bill, conserve water, and help create jobs for local contractors. On August 1, 2011, the City Council declared a Stage I Water Shortage for the City of Grover Beach based on municipal planning guidelines designated when rainfall is less than 65% of normal for a year. Although consumption reduction methods are voluntary in a Stage I Water Shortage, it cannot be stressed enough how important it is to conserve water.

Available City Programs
The current conservation measures remain voluntary. The following three programs help to conserve water and reduce the chance of the City moving to a Stage III Water Shortage.

Report Broken Sprinklers
Please help us to conserve water by identifying any broken sprinklers in City parks or landscaped medians, including overflowing or ponding water in streets from City irrigation systems. Every time you let us know about broken sprinklers or irrigation issues, you help save water from being wasted. If we all work together to conserve water, we can make a big difference!
