How to Join the Grover Beach Police Department's
Neighborhood Network

We recommend 12 to 15 homes within close proximity, working together as a group. One person should be designated as the coordinator and fill out the coordinator application included in this Start-Up Kit.

Primary Duties of the Coordinator:

  1. Discuss the program with your neighbors and get them involved in the program.

  2. Arrange location, date and time for Neighborhood Watch meetings with neighbors and the Grover Beach Police Department.

  3. Draw a map of your neighborhood and make enough copies to be distributed to each household at the Neighborhood Watch meeting.

  4. The Coordinator will receive any correspondence or bulletins and will be responsible for distributing it to the Neighborhood Watch group.

  5. The Coordinator will also be asked to work with other Neighborhood Watch Coordinators as part of the Neighborhood Watch Network.

Neighborhood Watch is designed to educate your group to know how to respond to crime problems in your neighborhood. You should have block parties (meetings) to help everyone get to know one another.
