Be Proud Grover Beach!

We live in a great community. We see changes happening everyday that make our community better – some more quickly than others. Our City is changing, maturing, and taking advantage of our incredible location thanks to the City Council’s leadership and its dedicated City staff.

In this issue of the Sea Breeze, we’re taking a look back at the last year – and in some instances even further – with a little teaser of what the next couple of years might look like. You may ask “why now”? Don’t those year-end nostalgia trips bombard us in the last weeks of December? Not in the life of a community. The City plans and works around a fiscal year running from July 1 through June 30.

For FY 06 (beginning July 1, 2005), the City Council has already set our policy parameters; staff is preparing budgets and work programs, AND balancing numbers to achieve the Council’s goals for the next fiscal year; and everything gets reviewed, modified, and adopted in late May or June.

So for now, let’s take stock of our community. Be proud Grover Beach!
