Come Visit the South County's Most Popular Recreation Facility For Kids of All Ages!

Facility Information:

This 13,234 square foot facility is available for in-line skating and skateboarding only (no bikes alllowed) and is located at 1750 Ramona Avenue (between 16th Street and Oak Park Boulevard) in Grover Beach.
The Grover Beach Parks and Recreation Department provides on-site staffing to monitor activities including rule enforcement, safety, games, special events, and more.
Participants must wear helmets, knee pads, & elbow pads or be subject to citation(s) and fine(s). Full sets of pads only are available free of charge for one-day loan periods on-site at the Skate Park.
Skate Park Admission Fee: $2 per skater (Fee is good all day)
Skate Hours:
Tuesday - Friday: 2:30 - 6:00 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
(Closed on Mondays)

Skate Park Events:

Spring Break Skate Camp
When: March 24 – 28, 2008, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon
Where: South County Skate Park, 1750 Ramona Avenue
Cost: $95 per skater
Skaters ages 6 to 12 years welcome. Beginners to intermediate level skaters. The camp goal is to develop performance skills, sportsmanship, safety skills, and park etiquette. Skaters must wear proper shoes, bring a mid-day snack, skateboard, and full pads (helmet, knee pads, and elbow pads). Early registration encouraged, camp fills up fast!
Annual Monster Skate Series:
The Grover Beach Parks and Recreation Department and Skate parks of the Central Coast
are proud to present this special skateboarding contest series for area residents. Oil up the
wheels, tighten the trucks, and get ready for this exciting competition.
Remember...you've gotta follow the rules or you are disqualified, no exceptions!
Full pads and helmet are required in the South County Skate Park.
We will enforce this!

Summer Skate Camp
When: Weekly Sessions: June 9, 2008 - August 8, 2008 from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Where: South County Skate Park, 1750 Ramona Avenue
Cost: $100 per skater per session
Attention all skaters ages 6 to 12 years - Come out and skate at the best skate park on the Central Coast! Beginners to intermediate level skaters are welcome. Skaters must wear proper shoes, skateboard, and full pads (including helmet, knee pads, and elbow pads).

Other Programs:

Celebrate Birthdays or Special Events at the Skate Park!
Rent the Skate Park for your private use! Includes Skate Park staff to monitor the park, rental of helmet and pads, balloons for decoration, and much more!

Special Events: $100 for up to 15 participants for two hours. ($5 for each participant over 15 participants)
Birthday Parties: $120 for up to 15 participants for two hours. ($5 for each participant over 15 participants)
Cakes: $20 (Optional)
(Non-refundable deposit of $25 required to book party.)

South County Skate Park Advertisement Sign Lease Program
The City of Grover Beach Parks and Recreation Department is providing advertising sign space for lease at the South County Skate Park. Proceeds from sign revenue will go toward off setting staff costs at the Skate Park. The sizes of sign spaces available for lease are:
A: 4' wide by 1 1/2' tall - $150/year
B: 4' wide by 3 1/2' tall - $300/year
C: 8' wide x 3 1/2' tall - $600/year
D: 8' wide x 7 1/2' tall - $1,200/year
(Note: Special larger sizes available on a first-come, first-served basis)
