Monarch Butterfly Grove

| Every winter from November through February, thousands of Monarch butterflies may be found in a grove of eucalyptus trees at the Pismo State Beach Butterfly Grove. The grove is just half a mile north of the Grover Beach Train Station and adjacent to one segment of the beach boardwalk. This is one of the largest overwintering sites for these butterflies in the United States. Park docents staff the grove from November through February, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with talks provided at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. |
